Kathleen Ryan Kuntz, MSN, RN, CRRN, CLCP, Cm is an advanced practice registered nurse with national certification in rehabilitation nursing, life care planning, and nursing case management. She has 20 years rehabilitation nursing experience in a broad range of positions including direct patient care, patient/family education, staff development, administration, and case management. In these positions her responsibilities included risk management, quality and performance improvement, development and evaluation of standards and procedures, and program evaluation. Ms. Kuntz also serves on the faculty of two prominent universities and with a University Affiliated Program funded by the Maternal Child Health Bureau. Additionally she has provided medical/legal case review, expert testimony and life care plans for attorneys, insurers and families.
Ms. Kuntz earned a Master of Science in Nursing Degree from Gwynedd Mercy College, PA, and post graduate certificates in Nursing Administration (Villanova University, PA), Life Care Planning for Advanced Catastrophic Case Management (University of Florida, FL), and Managed Care/Case Management (Rutgers University, NJ).
Ms. Kuntz is actively involved in professional organizations, serving on several regional and national committees and boards that promote the interests of pediatric and rehabilitation nursing, as well as family, community and professional education. She has published and presented widely on topics related to the care of children with disabilities, pediatric and rehabilitation nursing, case management, life care planning, interdisciplinary team process, strategic planning, and professional staff development.
